The game supports one or two players using a modem or serial connection , or up to eight players via LAN. There is a new Hot Pursuit mode , in which the law on both sides of the street you are burnt : avoid pile of speeding motorist or enforce justice from a patrol car . You can also download more cars and tracks from the Need for Speed III website. such games supports hardware accelerations, but you can play it in software rendering . In the demo version , you race against other vehicles ( no Hot Pursuit mode)
